How to request an Award Extension

Requesting an extension of your Education Award is a very simple process, just follow the steps below:

1. Click on Create Award Extension.

2. Verify that all of the pre-populated information on your request form is correct.

3. Select the appropriate reason from the drop-down list and provide a brief explanation in the comments box.

4. Attach documentation, if any, by using the browse button

5. Click the "submit" button. Your Award Extension request will be sent to the National Service Trust for review.

 

 If a member does not have access to the internet, a written request must be submitted to the Trust. All written requests, along with documentation meeting the criteria for an extension and which verifies the reason for the request should be sent to the Trust at:

The Trust responds to all extension requests, in writing, within 30 days of receipt of the written request provided that there are no extenuating circumstances. All requests must be received or postmarked before the award expires.
