How can I check the status of my Education Award request?

Check the status of your request by clicking "My Education Award" from the left-hand links.  From this page you can view all current and past requests.  

 

Depending on where it is in the process, a request will have a different status:

 

• "Accepted by Institution" -The request has been completed and accepted. The request has been sent to Treasury for the next payment cycle.

• "Accepted by Trust"- The request was processed manually and has been completed successfully. The request has been sent to Treasury for the next payment cycle.

• "Cancelled” - The request was either cancelled by the member, Institution or Trust.  The member can find the reason for cancellation by clicking on "Cancelled" and reading the comments field.

• "Closed by Trust"- The general request was reviewed and the issue resolved or in the process of being resolved by a Trust Officer.

• "Denied by Institution" -The request has been denied by the Institution.  The reason it was denied can be found in the comment field.

• "Denied by Trust"- The request was reviewed by a Trust Officer and denied. See the comment field for the denial explanation.

• "Opened by Institution Officer” - The request is being reviewed by the Institution. The member should contact the Institution for more information.

• "Opened by Trust Officer"- The request is being reviewed by a Trust Officer.

• "Pending Institution Action" -The request is in the Institution’s workbasket, but it has not been processed.

• "Pending Supervisor Review” - Request is being referred to the Trust Manager for review.  

• "Pending Trust Action"- The request has been sent to the Trust for further review.

• "Received by Institution" -This status is only for Forbearance requests. It denotes that is has been certified by the Institution.

• "Submitted via Paper” -

Payments - The Institution was not registered and a manual submission was created and mailed to Institution.  

Extensions - The member has sent in paperwork either via fax or mail.
