The legislation that created the Segal AmeriCorps Education Award also allows alumni who have been unable to use any portion of their award within the seven-year time limit the option to apply for an extension. You must request an extension in writing prior to the expiration date, unless extenuating circumstances prevented you from doing so. The Trust will grant an extension, provided you meet certain appropriate and compelling circumstances.
