If you selected the Segal AmeriCorps Education Award you have until the 10th month of service to switch to the stipend if you so decide. Note: If you choose to switch to the stipend, you cannot switch back. In addition, if you originally selected the stipend, you cannot switch to the Education Award. To switch to the Stipend, follow the steps below:
1. Go to the "My Education Award" section of the website and select to "Switch to Stipend."
2. If you are eligible to switch, you will see a button for this at the bottom of the page. If you are sure you want to switch, click the Switch to Stipend button.
3. You will be asked if you are sure you want to switch. Click "yes" to complete the switch and save your information.
