Notification threshold(s) are used to trigger on-screen and/or email notifications for the under or over production of MSYs. Notifications are triggered by data entry or via a scheduled job. Users having an Regional Administrator role receive email notifications for all states within their Regional Office. Users having a State Director role receive on-screen notifications while entering data, as well as email notifications for their assigned state.
Default Threshold
All states and multi-state projects have a default threshold of +/- 2 MSYs. The default thresholds will remain unless otherwise specified.
Regional Office/State Selection
Use the Regional Office/State drop-down menu to select the Regional Office, state, or multi-state project for which you are managing.
*For users managing a Regional Office:
You may select to specify a threshold for all states and multi-state projects within your Regional Office at once by selecting your Regional Office from the Regional Office/State drop-down menu.
OR
If different thresholds are desired per state or multi-state project within your Regional Office, you may choose to configure the thresholds one-at-a-time by selecting each state or multi-state project from the Regional Office/State drop-down menu.
Specifying a Threshold
Once you have selected a Regional Office or state, enter the threshold desired to trigger notifications, and select the "Submit" button.
If thresholds are specified and do not equal the default (2), a chart listing the state(s)/multi-state project(s) and the newly associated thresholds will appear.
*User Access/Role Information: Users with Regional Administrator or State Director roles are able to access and specify thresholds for notifications. The 'MSY Notification Threshold Setup' screen and function is NOT accessible by users with a VISTA HQ or General User role.
