The travel subsistence that you will receive for any authorized conference or consultation travel (Not PSO) you are required to attend while serving in VISTA, will cover your daily expenses for food, lodging, and other miscellaneous expenses. You will not be reimbursed for any costs that exceed the travel subsistence rate. The State Director will adjust travel subsistence rates for high-cost cities on an individual basis. For example, if you are attending a conference being held at an expensive hotel, and it is required the attendee must stay at that facility; the State Director might authorize additional travel subsistence.
