The AmeriCorps Health Benefits Plan covers most major medical and surgical costs, hospitalization, prescription drugs. It does NOT provide benefits for any diagnosis that is considered a pre-existing condition. A pre-existing condition is any illness for there was a diagnosis or medical treatment prior to entering AmeriCorps. The health benefit also does NOT cover routine physicals, dental and eye exams, or medical costs associated with pre-existing conditions (except prescription medicines). It is strongly recommended you contact IMG Global before planning any significant medical procedure.
