What type of coverage does the health benefit provide?

The AmeriCorps Health Benefits Plan covers most major medical and surgical costs, hospitalization, prescription drugs. It does NOT provide benefits for any diagnosis that is considered a pre-existing condition. A pre-existing condition is any illness for there was a diagnosis or medical treatment prior to entering AmeriCorps.  The health benefit also does NOT cover routine physicals, dental and eye exams, or medical costs associated with pre-existing conditions (except prescription medicines). It is strongly recommended you contact IMG Global before planning any significant medical procedure.
