What is the living allowance for NCCC members?

During their term of service, NCCC members will receive a living allowance.  The amount of this allowance is determined by CNCS. Federal income tax, Social Security taxes, and allotments for U.S. savings bonds purchased through payroll deduction will be withheld from your allowances. Deductions for state income tax will also be made based on your campus location.

The living allowance is computed on a daily rate (approximately $13.00) and will be paid to you biweekly. Members receive approximately $91.00 per week ($181.44 per pay period/ every two weeks). Payments cover a 14-day period and are paid ten days after the end of the pay period for which the allowance is earned. Your living allowance will be deposited through direct deposit to your bank account every other Tuesday. You can view your earnings statement by clicking on "My Living Allowance" and selecting the pay period for which you wish to see.
