How long will it take to process my request?

 

Payments requested by AmeriCorps members through the My AmeriCorps portal are generally accepted and certified by the registered institution within a matter of days provided that there are no issues that must be resolved prior to payment. Each payment processed is remitted within a week of certification based upon the school’s enrollment period. Each scheduled payment is released on Thursdays except for holidays. For amounts exceeding $10.00, payment is made in two equal installments; one at the beginning and one at the middle of the enrollment period, unless that period is in the past or within 10 days of the scheduled payment.  Loan and interest payments are not split.

 

We anticipate that Institutions will promptly process all requests that come through the system, but you can check on the status of your request at any time by going to your homepage and viewing your list of pending requests.
