Using the batch (or XML) method to create invitations will allow you to process many applicants quickly. This is ideal for organizations with their own recruitment/member management system and a technical staff that can export the data in the required format. The batch member information must adhere to the specified format, the XML Schema Definition (XSD). Additionally, the XML file must contain only members for the selected grant year and program/operating site.
Alternatively, you can use the individual invitation process where you simply enter the newly accepted AmeriCorps member’s last name, first name, date of birth, social security number and e-mail address. You have the option to click “add another” should you have more then one applicant
to invite into the My AmeriCorps portal.
