| Why Do I Volunteer: |

I love to help out in my community any way that I can. Helping others is a huge passion of mine and it is what I believe I as a Christian am called to do, so I take it very seriously. I would consider myself to be a compassionate and “tender-hearted” person which I believe is part of what drives my passion for serving others. I have served others in various ways throughout my life. I have served my church by being a praise and worship leader during Vacation Bible School for the past 4 years. I have helped to better my school through Student Council and FCCLA. I love baking and will typically bake something for a fundraiser in the community that comes up. I have volunteered for the last 9 years at our annual National Wild Turkey Federation banquet, whether that is working the kids table, or running around gathering donations with my mom. I have served my community by working through the AmeriCorps VISTA program. Serving others warms my heart and gives me a feeling of significance knowing that I’m trying my hardest to make someone’s life or even day just a little easier. |

I helped organize pep rallies, dances, fundraisers, programs, "spirit week", meetings etc. through VHS and IHS Student Council (I began attending Idabel Schools in the fall of 2018). I also decorated the school and football field and helped decide themes for the student sections at games. I helped raise money for other members to attend summer leadership workshops and State convention. I also assisted in school blood drives. |
