Why Do I Volunteer:
  I have always been involved in organizations in order to uplift families and residents and give back to the community in a significant way. Whether its mentoring high school students, organizing fundraisers, or advocating to U.S. Congress for passing humanitarian aid bills that would help alleviate poverty in impoverished countries, or partnering with community organizations involved in providing alternate transportation and resources, I enjoy every aspect of community service in various ways. I believe that serving the community is what makes my job worthwhile and has meaning and purpose. I always have gratitude and appreciation when I perform my service duties. What I get in return is the ultimate satisfaction and sense of accomplishment for the cause, and projects. With teamwork, leadership, communication, the service reaps tremendous rewards for the residents and families in the community by making their lives much better than before. This includes uplifting those who are in poverty who need access to resources and assistance from community organizations. This assistance will be better for the individuals and families to be able to live in improved status and quality of life in their neighborhood and their community.

As Transportation Access VISTA, I partnered with MY RIDE Tarrant County, Catholic Charities Fort Worth and Tarrant Transit Alliance to spread awareness of low cost transportation options, identify gaps in service, and recommend programmatic enhancements to ensure vulnerable populations have access to needed health, employment and other resources
