Member Duties : The City of Phoenix Housing Department has a mission to provide quality affordable housing and a pathway to self-sufficiency. The City offers various housing programs and services designed to help residents achieve their highest level of economic and social independence. The VISTA member’s work will take place across Phoenix, serving affordable housing residents while collaborating on a ConnectHome Initiative from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).. The VISTA will be assisting in building a program to distribute approximately 800 devices with integrated cellular service, track inventory, develop training modules and measure outcomes associated with access to devices and internet service. The VISTA will develop and maintain partnerships, namely in identifying training, tutoring, and mentoring partners for the Envision Center. The VISTA will also gain experience in marketing and outreach, applying for grant funding, and identifying new technological resources.
