E3.20 Eco3 Main Street LNPK Innovation Zone Developer

Ecolibrium3 is a dynamic organization identifying and pulling the levers necessary for change in the under-resourced neighborhood of Lincoln Park in Duluth, MN. Lincoln Park has high poverty, levels of disability, educational disparities, and environmental justice concerns. However, it is a neighborhood with a palpable energy for improving the economic and health of its residents. Facing COVID-19 disruptions and next year's launch of a large highway project, Lincoln Park needs an "all in" approach to continue its revitalization. Eco3 operates at the intersection of energy, equity, and ecovitality. This AmeriCorps VISTA position will use design and communication skills to engage with the community, identify program and project supports, and implement strategies to address poverty, blight, and community safety concerns. The member will expand partnerships, incorporate data, convene community processes, and find resources for the implementation of creative placemaking projects that build social cohesion and economic opportunity. Eco3 is a nationally recognized organization for building resilient communities and developing effective and innovative programs for replication in other communities. We excel because of the passion and commitment of our staff and VISTA members, our willingness to rapidly iterate solutions, and determination to develop cooperative solutions. Eco3 hosts VISTA members to accomplish our mission of inspiring and leading change toward an equitable and sustainable future. Eco3 VISTA is comprised of 30 VISTA members and summer associates working throughout northeastern Minnesota to tackle some of our regions most difficult problems. Although each member is placed at a site and completes their own projects, the Eco3 cohort will convene for group training, community service days, and development of one cooperative project.
