Program Efficiency Coordinator (Portland, OR)

Proud Ground, located in Portland, Oregon creates permanently affordable homeownership opportunities for low-income, first-time homebuyers. Our community is comprised of members of Proud Ground’s Community Land Trust, reaching both rural and urban communities throughout Oregon in Clackamas, Lincoln, Multnomah, and Washington counties. The VISTA member placed at our agency will assist in developing program efficiencies within Proud Ground’s Homeownership Program by improving program data and evaluation systems, expanding partnerships with Habitat for Humanity affiliates and major employers, building program sustainability, and supporting the program’s overall expansion to serve more rural communities. AmeriCorps VISTA members perform only indirect service; interaction with clients will be limited and the member will spend the majority of their time in an office setting. However, the Proud Ground VISTA will play a dynamic role in ending poverty by improving the Homeownership Program’s accessibility and functionality, which will ensure that low-income homebuyers have access to permanently affordable homes through their employers, local Habitat for Humanity, and local jurisdictions. As a Proud Ground VISTA you will be part of a larger cohort of AmeriCorps VISTAs coordinated by Mercy Corps Northwest. Early applications are strongly encouraged. Selections made on a rolling basis.
