Maryland MENTOR Marketing and Communications
Maryland MENTOR serves as the leader of quality mentoring efforts across the state. We are positioned to work with local organizations to increase their capacity and effectiveness, while also providing evidence-based trainings and technical assistance. The goal of this project is to support Maryland MENTOR’s efforts to ensure that Maryland’s young people have access to a quality mentoring relationship. This VISTA will work to build capacity by evaluating and building on existing organizational communications infrastructure to increase Maryland MENTOR’s impact. The VISTA will evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of our existing systems and digital communications to the statewide mentoring field. They will increase awareness of Maryland MENTOR resources, services, events, and trainings to the statewide mentoring field.

Member Duties : Update Maryland MENTOR website, building out new pages to better. Feature resources and services provided to the mentoring field. Email database of local partners that will disseminate info about Maryland MENTOR services and events. Maintain Maryland MENTOR social media, creating & experimenting with editorial content planning. Generate Year End newsletter. Manage Maryland MENTORing Community Facebook group. Engage November “Thank Your Mentor Month” national campaign. Enhance existing stakeholder engagement systems to inform future Maryland MENTOR Communications Strategies. Assess and provide recommendations for improving Maryland MENTOR online stakeholder engagement. Generate report with analytics references and other findings and provide recommendations on how to strengthen. Develop Maryland MENTOR Marketing and Communications handbook based on findings and recommendations to inform the following activities: a. Social Media Editorial Calendar b. Newsletter c. Website Management
