Girl Scouts Outreach Coordinator

Girl Scouts Outreach offers critical youth development programming that enhances both academic performance and life skills. As part of our mission, Girl Scouts hopes to empower every girl—regardless of her race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, disability, gender identity, or geographic location—to make the world a better place. Through our Outreach program, we provide Girl Scouts for free or at a greatly reduced cost to girls who may not otherwise be able to participate. We alleviate financial, transportation, and other socioeconomic barriers by forming Girl Scout troops under the umbrella of after-school programs. Girl Scout programs are designed to be grade-level appropriate and complement the values of the school curriculum. Our key program areas include STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), life skills, entrepreneurship, and outdoor experiences. Every activity is intentional and focuses on the positive development of girls. Curriculum is based on the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) and is delivered through “Journeys.” Each Journey unfolds through a sequence of activities and discussions that add up to a meaningful outcome. At the end of each Journey, girls collect a variety of badges – a beloved Girl Scout tradition.
