AmeriCorps VISTA WRAP Specialist
 
 
 
WRAP has one key program: to restore safe home access for Linn County residents who face the loss of freedom due to physical challenges. We provide design and construction of ADA-compliant ramps, modified steps, and handrails at a reduced price to those residents. To successfully support the delivery of safe home access, WRAP: supplies clients with possible funding resource options for their follow-up; conducts site visits and client interviews to determine best possible solutions; designs home access options that meets the clients’ needs and expectations; provides a list of materials to be ordered; establishes cost effective business relationships with local suppliers; recruits and trains capable, reliable and efficient volunteers for construction; constructs solid, ADA compliant ramps and other home access devices; conducts 30-day follow up Customer Satisfaction Surveys on ramp construction and client experiences; offers repair service for WRAP-built and other home access construction; provides service in a timely manner; and markets the service so it becomes widely known to those in need.

Member Duties : The VISTA will develop the infrastructure to successfully recruit new volunteer designers and labor teams to meet the building demands of timely, affordable home access in our community. Something that are current part-time Coordinator and only paid employee has the capacity to focus on to build up volunteer recruitment to a proactive service instead of a reactive one. Today our volunteer resources can not meet the need of the community.
