Substance Use Disorder Resource VISTA- GCBHV- Prisma
 
 
 
Fight poverty and make a huge and lasting impact on the lives of residents of Upstate South Carolina. In the fourth year of the Greenville County Behavioral Health (GCBH) AmeriCorps VISTA program, the Substance Use Disorder Resource VISTA will work at Prisma Health to strengthen systems of fund development, assessment, and partnership-building. Greenville, South Carolina continues to receive national and international recognition for its southern charm, opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts, arts scene, sports culture, and cuisine. Greenville has been lauded by The New York Times as one of the 52 cities in the world to visit, by USA Today as one of the 10 best emerging destinations, and as one of America’s ten best downtowns for its combination of revitalized commercial and park space. Greenville is located at the base of the Blue Ridge mountains. **This position is eligible for an annual housing stipend of $600 paid to the landlord and for a membership to a specific gym facility.

Member Duties : The Substance Use Disorder VISTA at Prisma Health Upstate will identify, pursue, track and submit potential funding and federal grant requests. This person will collect and analyze data to identify specific needs of clients and ensure documentation of processes. He/she/they will collaborate with organizations and community populations to assess and document where health disparities exist for individuals with untreated or partially-treated persons with substance use disorders and specifically persons with opioid use disorders.
