KuPanda Refugee Mentorship VISTA
 
 
 
The goal of this project is to build capacity of the KuPanda mentoring program to better serve a diverse refugee and immigrant population in Memphis by creating a foundation of support for KuPanda and extend capacity to increase retention, engagement, graduation, and/or post-high school continuation of K-12 youth through mentor recruitment, mentor training, mentor/mentee support, program evaluation, and data tracking.

Member Duties : 1) Develop a firm knowledge base of Refugee Empowerment Program and their role in the community in preparation to improve upon and expand outreach, recruitment, programming, and performance management. | 2) Establish a Mentor recruitment and marketing campaign to support with service delivery. | 3) Evaluate and develop materials and procedures to expand upon the Mentor Training program. | 4) Develop an infrastructure for the implementation and documentation of a mentor/mentee match process. Create standard operational procedure guide. | 5) Create an outreach plan supporting KuPanda’s organizational development and community awareness initiatives. | 6) Establish tools, resources, process, and procedures for performance measurement. A well-designed system will enable mentors and mentees an opportunity to evaluate the program, their experience regularly.
