'20-'21 Community Engagement VISTA- PC
 
 
 
Are you ready to fight poverty and expand access to mental health services in Upstate South Carolina? In the fourth year of the Greenville County Behavioral Health (GCBH) VISTA program, the Capacity-Building VISTA will serve at the Phoenix Center/the Family Effect. This role will bolster support and increase the capacity of existing low/no-cost behavioral health services. Greenville, South Carolina continues to receive national and international recognition for its southern charm, opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts, arts scene, sports culture, and cuisine. Greenville has been lauded by The New York Times as one of the 52 cities in the world to visit, by USA Today as one of the 10 best emerging destinations, and as one of America’s ten best downtowns for its combination of revitalized commercial and park space. Greenville is located at the base of the Blue Ridge mountains. Each VISTA and VISTA Leader participating in the Greenville County Behavioral Health VISTA Program is eligible for an annual housing stipend of $600 and membership to a local recreational/gym facility.

Member Duties : This position is based at the Phoenix Center & the Family Effect. This multi-talented and flexible individual must be ready to develop in the areas of community outreach, event planning, marketing and grant research/writing. The right candidate must have a passion for expanding access to behavioral health services and be a team player.
 
Program Benefits : Education award upon successful completion of service ,  Choice of Education Award or End of Service Stipend ,  annual housing stipend of $600 or more ,  Childcare assistance if eligible .
