Member Duties : The VISTA will:
1) Maintain, update, and strengthen research repository on concerns and best practices regarding re-entry, recovery, and individual and community resilience.
2) Maintain and strengthen the existing comprehensive inventory/database addressing substance use disorder.
3) Obtain funding for the longevity of the Recovering Life Initiatives.
4) Organize a series of conferences/workshops/leadership circles to enhance the capacity to reduce addiction-related poverty.
5) Bolster existing cross-sector collaboration.
6) Provide the backbone of organizational support to construct a SUD advocacy group comprised of persons in recovery.
7) Coordinate Nonprofit Leadership Circles that foster networks and promote collaboration that enhances the ability to address unmet/under-met needs of professional staff working in the same field.
