The VISTA Leader will aid in building sustainable structures and procedures to streamline recruitment and retention of VISTA members in The Hub. The Leader will develop and tend relationships with college and university career services offices, departments, and professors to increase recruitment pools. The Leader will also work with communities served by The Hub to recruit community members to fill positions at sub-sites with a relationship to The Hub. The Leader will also serve as a cheerleader, mentor, and coach for all of our members across West Virginia. The Leader will facilitate monthly check-ins with members. They will develop trainings based on the needs of the members for in-person and online delivery. They will also aide in streamlining monthly reporting and timesheet collection, site visits, and quarterly surveys. Lastly, the Leader will coordinate service projects for members on National Days of Service. VISTA Leaders must have previous National Service or Peace Corps experience.

Member Duties : The VISTA Leader will aid in building sustainable processes to improve recruitment and retention of VISTA members in The Hub. This will include an assessment of current procedures and processes for report collection, developing a streamlined method for data collection and implementation. The Leader will assist the Program Manager in the recruitment of members. They will tend relationships with college and university career services offices, departments, and professors; communities where Hub subsites are recruiting, and other locations where potential members may be found. The Leader will also serve as a mentor for our members across WV. They will facilitate monthly check-ins with members and develop trainings based on the needs of the members for in-person and online delivery. Lastly, the Leader will coordinate service projects for members and other AmeriCorps projects as appropriate on National Days of Service.
