UGA VISTA 2020 ACC Library Summer Associate
 
 
 
The Athens-Clarke Co. Regional Library offers a wide range of services and programming for the Athens, Georgia area community, including tens of thousands of visits by children. Summer programs are intended to engage a diverse population of children and young adults in educational programming that promotes reading and learning during out-of-school time in an effort to prevent summer learning loss. Programming through the Young Adult and Children's Department includes book clubs, story times, puppet shows, a Summer Reading Program, early childhood literacy programs, and special events

Member Duties : Two Summer Associates will assist the Athens Regional Library Young Adult and Children's Department Staff in implementing summer programming for children ages birth to 17. This includes promoting the summer reading program, including signing up children and youth; distributing recognitions; promoting the end-of-summer program celebration; and assisting library staff with summer reading programs, book clubs, and other library programs, as well as with special projects and community outreach.
