| Member Duties : The Enrichment & Outreach SA VISTA Member will address summer learning loss through active and passive community engagement at the Audubon Center. As a result of the VISTA Member’s service, Center visitors will learn about environmental science and conservation topics through hands-on learning activities. Additional activities will address literacy, art, math, and other academic and social topics. Many students, especially those in Missouri where summer break was recently extended, are at risk for learning loss in the summer months. These efforts will address poverty alleviation by building high quality, engaging STEAM-focused conservation education for free and open to the public and while also supplementing our free summer camp for students in the Ferguson-Florissant School District.
