20-21 Facing Forward Development and Communications VISTA
 
 
 
Our mission at Facing Forward is to end homelessness for vulnerable individuals and families by offering hope, help, and housing. The goal of this VISTA project is to increase support for our organization through funding, visibility, partnerships, and in-kind donations, thereby increasing both our program efficacy and capacity. The goal of the Development & Communications VISTA term will be to continue to grow Facing Forward’s support base and partnerships while enhancing the organization’s reputation and visibility as a leading provider of Permanent Supportive Housing and other homelessness and housing services in Chicago. This position is a part of the Housing Action VISTA Network, which is an AmeriCorps VISTA program managed by Housing Action Illinois since 2010. As such, this position will receive customized training, support, guidance, and networking opportunities, in addition to the traditional opportunities for AmeriCorps VISTA positions. Member Duties : 1. Improve design quality and uniformity of organization collateral. 2. Create a uniform and visually appealing catalog of internal resources, timelines, and best practices for various campaigns and events. 3. Engage existing and potential supporters via 5-7 external communications each week across multiple platforms.
