2020-2021 Data and Evaluation Coordinator VISTA

The NWSHC’s mission is to identify and respond to the needs of the community to increase the economic well-being and quality of life for residents. Our goal is to help neighbors preserve and improve their housing situation, prevent homelessness, create safer and more sustainable neighborhoods, and improve education for all youth. The goal of the Data and Evaluation Coordinator is to improve the core service functions of our organization through continuous program evaluation and data management. Currently, our agency’s data collection, storage, and sharing/visualization methods are inconsistent across departments. Having a one-year VISTA project focused solely on routinizing data collection and evaluation will guarantee that the NWSHC understands its own programmatic strengths and opportunities for growth. This position is a part of the Housing Action VISTA Network, which is an AmeriCorps VISTA program managed by Housing Action Illinois since 2010. As such, this position will receive expert training, support, guidance, and networking opportunities, in addition to the traditional opportunities for AmeriCorps VISTA positions. Learn more about the program at Housing Action’s website. This position can start in June, July, or August. Speak to your interviewer for more details.
