AOD/Recovery Program Coordinator or Capacity Builder
 
 
 
The CYAAR AOD Program supports serving at-risk students including students seeking and recovering from opioid use disorders, substance use, and eating disorders at KSU. This position will assist the Program Coordinators in decreasing stigma in addiction and mental health, increasing program visibility through targeted outreach and education and thereby increasing the program’s capacity to serve students suffering for Opioid Use and other Substance disorders, those seeking recovery and knowledge in Alcohol and other Drug related education. This position will allow the AOD program to have a greater reach across campus and in the community by expanding prevention work in areas of opioid use education and harm reduction.

Member Duties : Assist with the expansion and implementation of AOD prevention education to include but not limited to opioid and RX drug awareness, peer education, nicotine cessation programming, and AOD outreach, targeting at-risk populations. Assist in the coordination and implementation of AOD and Recovery events: Alcohol Awareness Week, Recovery Month, Love your Body Week, health fairs, Safe Spring Break, RX Take Back etc. Improve alternate programming, sober social events and programming to increase and improve student activities, campus-based, and community activities.
