Coordinator of Special Programs (Women's Ctr)
 
 
 
This position will use national, local, and KSU student population data to determine trends, needs, and evidence-based practices to implement programs and services for the Kennesaw State University campus that reduce the barriers that might prevent a low income or first generation student from college completion by increasing resources and awareness of issues of interpersonal violence common among college students such as, dating/domestic violence, sexual assault, and alcohol, tobacco, and other drug (ATOD) use, and increase the resources available to neighboring nonprofits that aim to reduce violence in surrounding communities where a high number of first generation or low-income students reside.

Member Duties : Build capacity to provide outreach efforts to the KSU campus and surrounding community on topics including but not limited to healthy relationship building, interpersonal violence prevention, ATOD education, and providing resources for low income college students impacted by interpersonal violence Document campus and community partnerships for outreach efforts to college students/surrounding community and program deliverables for each project developed. Assist in sustaining these efforts by maintaining a policies and procedures manual for onboarding and training new student assistants and interns who will help with implementation.
