ShareCorps- Brown Co Public Library Summer Food Associate
 
 
 
The mission of the Brown County Public Library is to enrich lives by providing diverse and easily accessible materials, services, and programs in an atmosphere that encourages the free flow of ideas. The Library offers its collection and services to educate, inform, enlighten, and entertain the residents of Brown County so that knowledge and inspiration shall be in reach of every man, woman, and child in this county in perpetuity. We offer the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) in conjunction with our Summer Reading Program to contribute to the fight of food insecurity while feeding children's minds and preventing the summer slide.

Member Duties : VISTA member will assist with the execution and logistics of our Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). This will include serving of the meals, setup/clean up of meal service, and documentation of meal counts for program. Member will also be responsible for promoting the SFSP program including developing promotional materials, engaging with the community to remove stigmas from the program, and networking with other library locations. To encourage attendance, educational and enrichment activities will be planned and conducted before or after meal service. We are looking for a creative and outgoing team member to help feed hungry children this summer, join us!
