SUM Associate, VISTA Horizons Student Enrichment Program EPA

Horizons at The Episcopal Academy improves educational outcomes for students from low income families by providing quality academic and enrichment opportunities, which enable them to realize their full potential. The summer program offers full-day academic instruction, swimming and enrichment on Episcopal’s campus to students from our partner schools, Frederick Douglass Mastery Charter School (North Philadelphia) and Ardmore Avenue Elementary (Lansdowne, Delaware County). Horizons’ students grow with the program, returning each summer from Kindergarten through Eighth Grade. Horizons at Episcopal Academy was established in 2013 with in initial cohort of fifteen kindergarten students. In the summer of 2020, we will be fully built out with 9 grades, K-8 and 135 students, and will have our first graduating class this summer. We are currently organizing a high school program to further support our students as they move to the next phase of their educational journey.
