WIN Recovery Development and Outreach Coordinator

WIN (Women in Need) Recovery's VISTA will provide critical opportunities for women who are formerly incarcerated or reentering life after rehabilitation programs through building the capacity and quality of the WIN Recovery Programs. These programs provide a supportive transitional housing environment where clients receive support they need to fully recover and find long-term employment and housing. WIN Recovery serves all women and those who identify as LGBTQ who have been previously incarcerated or are coming directly from a rehabilitation recovery program. Our current home serves up to 8 women, and we are in the process of opening a second home to serve an additional 6. WIN Recovery is a new organization, having launched its first transitional home and accompanying programs in June of 2019. Location: 1718 Lincoln Road., Champaign IL 61821 Website: www.win4recovery.com Hours of Operation When Student Can Serve: 8:30-5pm Work Environment: WIN Recovery is located in the micro-urban oasis of Champaign-Urbana, with wonderful community members, public transportation, and a strong sense of place. The WIN Recovery office is located in our transitional home in a dedicated office space. VISTA will have access to a computer, but may work on their own laptop if they prefeer. The home is a 3-4-minute walk to two nearby two bus stops of CU’s award winning Mass Transit Department. If the VISTA wishes to use public transportation, WIN Recovery will provide an annual bus pass. Work attire is business-appropriate casual (jeans are okay, as long as they don’t have rips or tears).
