ShareCorps - COAD Senior Programs - Resource Coordinator

COAD’s mission is to provide a unified voice for the 17-member Community Action Agencies of Appalachian Ohio and the constituents they serve, primarily low-income families, children, and older adults. The Senior Programs division consists of several programs. One program is the Foster Grandparent program, which mentors children with special needs. Our Senior Companion program helps vulnerable older and disabled adults remain independent at home with daily assistance. Finally, the RSVP program provides mentoring to youth and multiple food assistance programs and services to high need citizens.

Member Duties : The VISTA member will develop, update, and organize systems that will enhance the knowledge and delivery of our services. These systems will be long-term, allowing our programs to progress in an ever-changing environment. These systems will also allow for the recruitment of volunteers, site stations, and community partners and will result in increased media acknowledgement and the addition of new funding sources. All our programs focus on improving the lives of less fortunate individuals of every age group and need. As an organization, we work to address every need by providing services and referrals.
