Peer Leadership Program VISTA (JJKC)

Community Solutions is a national nonprofit that co-developed the John and Jill Ker Conway Residence (JJKC), a 124-unit affordable housing development for formerly homeless individuals. Our mission is to create a lasting end to homelessness that leaves no one behind. We envision a more equitable society where homelessness is never inevitable, inescapable, or a way of life. At the John and Jill Ker Conway Residence, CS is dedicated to helping residents who have experienced homelessness thrive in their permanent home by coordinating wraparound supportive services and providing on-site social programming. The VISTA will oversee and help expand the Peer Leadership Program started by our existing VISTA. The Peer Leaders are a small but dedicated group of four residents that create and implement peer-led initiatives that bolster resident and staff capacity and increase resident satisfaction, health, and well-being.
