Eastside SA Promise Zone - Marketing & Communications VISTA
 
 
 
The Eastside Promise Zone of San Antonio, Texas is focused on the following six goals: 1) Job creation and training 2) Increase economic activity 3) Improve educational opportunities and increased family stability 4) Leverage private investment 5) Reduce serious and violent crime 6) Reduce poverty and increase the supply of affordable housing

Member Duties : Develop marketing materials and templates to attract Promise Zone residents to participate in events, resource fairs, job training events, etc. Each marketing piece will include the creation of a template. Marketing materials may include by not limited digital media, video production and/or print. Maintain Social Media, assist with the creation and implementation of a communication strategy, design flyers and assist with the production of quarterly newsletters. Attends neighborhood association meetings to build community capacity. Attend at minimum three to four night-time neighborhood association meetings a month to assist with building capacity of the community voice. Inform the community of the Promise Zone designation. Pass along information about Promise Zones programs and other partner programming in their neighborhood. Attend and assist, as needed, community capacity building events such as job fairs, leadership academies, workforce development events.
