Wyoming 2-1-1 Information and Referral

Wyoming 2-1-1 creates a community infrastructure for linking the array of services of nonprofit and public agencies into a more efficient and coordinated network. Wyoming 2-1-1 strengthens the community by uniting the people who want to help with those who need help. Through an intake process trained Community Resource Specialists assist callers in defining and prioritizing their needs, which results in appropriate referrals to local agencies. Staff also offers advocacy for individuals that are struggling to understand or access services. Advocacy services may include staying on the line with the client when talking to an agency, offering translation services or providing additional research or follow-up. Wyoming 2-1-1 has demonstrated that early intervention, combined with appropriate information and referrals, results in addressing a need before it becomes a crisis. 2-1-1 is a one-stop source of information for people looking for community services and resources, especially for those who need essential services, such as food, shelter, counseling, employment assistance, and more.
