***To be eligible for this position, you must commit to serve full-time for one year with Wellspring Family Services.*** Wellspring Family Services is working to end the cycle of family homelessness. The VISTA will work closely with the Program Manager to create a volunteer database, strategize to recruit culturally and linguistically matched volunteers, promote and develop a robust volunteer infrastructure, and institutionalize resources. The VISTA member will serve along with a cohort of VISTA members working to fight poverty in King County

Member Duties : United Way of King County is a local leader in developing and funding innovative anti-poverty programs to help people in need and solving our community’s toughest challenges. The Emergency Food System VISTA will increase access to home delivery of groceries by expanding United Way’s Last Mile delivery partnership with Door Dash and local food banks. Duties include partnering with food banks to develop program infrastructure and provide program-specific technical assistance; consult with program staff and partners to develop strategies to manage issues with service delivery; develop program-specific outreach materials and communication strategies; and develop relationships with BIPOC-led organizations to provide culturally specific food boxes to key community groups. The key focus region for this position is South King County.
