Keep Austin Housed
 
 
 
KAH places 30 full-time members in nonprofits across Austin that work directly with individuals experiencing or at-risk of experiencing homelessness. Members work with clients to overcome barriers to housing, employment, and personal stability. In addition to service at their sites, members develop personally and professionally through team-building events, trainings, and service opportunities.

Member Duties : Keep Austin Housed members increase the capacity of social services agencies to provide case management services. Members address barriers to housing and employment to help clients make significant, lasting changes. Members assess for client needs, develop action plans to meet goals, and provide guidance as clients work towards self-sufficiency; they may provide referrals, support, and life skills training to clients. Clients include youth, families, single adults, ex-offenders, individuals living with disabilities, and veterans. Members also develop personally and professionally through team-building events, trainings, and service opportunities.
