Serve New York VISTA 2020: FLACRA
 
 
 
Serve New York mobilizes AmeriCorps VISTA members to function in organizations, government agencies and educational institutions. Members will focus on expanding educational opportunities, ensuring economic opportunity for all and create healthy futures for the residents of New York. SNY’s goals are to strengthen communities across the state and to allow organizations within them, to better provide services to impoverished individuals and families. The Serve New York program has partner organizations in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Bath, Ithaca, Geneva, and White Plains. During their term of service, members will receive support from our VISTA team at The Service Collaborative of WNY, Inc. Our support includes monthly training, a social network of fellow members and daily support from VISTA leaders.

Member Duties : The Finger Lakes Area Counseling and Recovery Agency believes in making a difference one life at a time. The agency has a long history of providing innovative clinical, residential and housing treatment services. Helping them pursue their mission to serve all those who come to them in need. For the past forty years, they’ve provided theses services for individuals experiencing alcohol and substance use disorders. FLACRA uses a client-centered, strength-based treatment approach. Throughout all their treatment settings, FLACRA demonstrates proven success providing integrated services for multiple populations. The VISTA will assist in creating, implementing and updating a broad-based marketing and outreach strategy promoting FLACRA’s mission and services. They will also assist in creating, developing, and implementing a strategic marketing plan including their Behavioral Health Care Collaborative which promotes integrated care through value-based care models.
