Hot Bread Kitchen - Small Business Support & Data Management
 
 
 
The VISTA’s primary objective will be to assist in the development and implementation of programming goals for the small businesses in our kitchen. The VISTA will assist in establishing methodology and metrics to track the progress and successes of the businesses in Hot Bread Kitchen’s portfolio.To accomplish these objectives, the VISTA will have significant interaction with all members of the program. Activities include the following: Member Activity: VISTA member will work directly with member businesses to assess needs to create programming and provide support. VISTA member will assist with the team to facilitate the selection process of incubator members by tracking applicants, screening submitted applications for completeness, scheduling interviews, and notifying applicants of the outcome Compile and maintain HBK Incubates program reporting information for all incubator applicants and members using program management data tracking system; report on relevant program data monthly or quarterly, and as necessary Coordinate and assist with workshops, events and new member orientations for low income entrepreneurs Work with the Program Manager to track member requirements, progress and status by collecting key program metrics, and prepares information to report to HBK Incubates Program Director Update key member communication and programmatic documents; collaborate with program staff to ensure all materials are kept up-to-date Develop external communication and various materials to facilitate outreach efforts and promote the incubation program to external stakeholders and partners

Member Duties : research and propose new programs and workshops for businesses, review procedures for interview process for potential new businesses, collect key data on businesses for grant and programmatic use through customer relationship software, update communication and program documents, facilitate outreach to impacted communities with potential new businesses ready to incubate, identify potential new partners for access to market or educational opportunities.
