LA Compost - VISTA

LA Compost is a local nonprofit organization started in 2013 as a collective effort to address food insecurity in disadvantaged communities through the development and maintenance of community compost hubs. Their main focus is serving disadvantaged communities where environmental and economic problems intersect, such as food insecurity, unemployment, and housing burdens. These markers of poverty are the key criteria in their evaluation of where to place their community hubs and host workshops.
