YMCA Marketing & Outreach Specialist

YMCA Education and Training is comprised of two programs. The International Learning Center (ILC) and Training, Inc. The ILC serves Boston's immigrant and refugee community by providing classes in English as a second language, computer skills, and job readiness to more than 25,000 adult English language learners (ELLs) from over 50 different countries since 1975. The ILC currently provides seven levels of English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) from Beginner through Advanced, as well as courses in Speaking and Pronunciation, English for Employment, Basic Computer Literacy, and University Reading & Writing. Classes take place in the morning, afternoon, and evening to accommodate the needs of our diverse student body. The YMCA Training, Inc. program is an intensive 20-week, full-time (600 hours) computerized office skills training and employment program. Designed to replicate the expectations of a professional office environment, the training prepares participants with both the technical and job readiness skills to succeed. We provide intensive, hands-on, innovative technical training in a simulated business environment and engage in lasting partnerships with major employers in Greater Boston. Our program is constantly reviewed and informed by industry partners, ensuring that participants are receiving the most relevant, hands-on training to gain career-building employment in the Greater Boston area.
