Bringing Recovery Home - Tiffin

New Housing Ohio (NHO) is a nonprofit organization, charted by the State of Ohio and funded by state, local and private resources. NHO is dedicated to improving the quality of life for under-served individuals by providing access to safe, decent, and affordable housing, transportation, employment, and related supports. The VISTA member will access and assist residents and operators in the use of the Ohio Recovery Housing Outcomes Tools. The member will also establish community partnerships and organize sources of volunteers for the organization. Donations are critical to the operation of New Housing Ohio. Our VISTA member will research and apply for grants, as well as solicit donations and fundraisers for the organization.

Member Duties : The VISTA member will access and assist residents and operators in the use of the Ohio Recovery Housing Outcomes Tools. Support resident activities that build community in the home. Contact service providers; establish partnerships and community support. Identify speakers for site-based presentations and programming; schedule and coordinate presentations. Solicit donations for residents and events Create/ maintain database that tracks current and alumni tenants, tenant services provided, tenant participation in programming, and results of tenant satisfaction surveys. Research and identify sources of volunteers for home. Attend meetings, trainings and other professional development.
