Help Build Capacity for STEAM Education in New Mexico

The mission of the Social Media Workgroup (SMW) is to provide professional training and experience to students working in digital media, technology and sustainability through the design and creation of projects that support and enact positive social and environmental change. Faculty, exceptional undergraduate and graduate students, community partners and outside experts work in interdisciplinary collaborative teams to design and develop a wide variety of media and events for various audiences. The proposed Summer Associate project aligns with the Education focus area and preventing summer learning loss for students, to help educate students along with emerging professionals and other community members in STEAM (STEM + Art) fields. Based on our previous track record, for this 10-week summer program we expect to benefit at least 50 post-secondary students and at least 50 emerging professionals, community members and youth.
