El Centro de la Raza After School Program Assistant

El Centro de la Raza was founded in 1972 when a multiracial group of diverse community members led a peaceful and innovative three-month occupation of the abandoned Beacon Hill school building. Today, we are an indispensable community institution that responds to a broad range of community needs among children, youth, adults, and seniors with 43 culturally and linguistically integrative programs. Twelve principles guide our work for social justice and community organizing, creating successful educational, human service, housing, economic development, and asset building programs. We tell and document our history for future generations., and are passionate and effective advocates for the rights and opportunities of vulnerable and marginalized people.
