20-21 Friends of Francois Increase Food access via mobile

For All is recruiting for 1 fulltime placement. For All is a small, Seattle-based nonprofit organization that strives to reduce societal waste and promote positive activity for all. We enact our mission through the reclamation, conservation, and sharing of resources. Our organization has served estimate of 1 million meals, prevented 2 million tons of food from being added to the waste stream, and prevented 1 million tons of greenhouse gases from being released. Our society invests a vast amount of resources into producing, processing, and distributing food including organic produce that will eventually be shipped to a landfill. We conserve and redirect valuable resources to programs that directly benefit the health and futures of children, families, and individuals in our community. Through the Free Summer Meals and Afterschool Meals for Kids program we create and distribute nutritious meals for kids and teens in areas where 50% or more of children are enrolled in free or reduced price lunch during times when school is out. We offer creative activities for kids and families along with free meals to promote positive activity and learning opportunities in our community. As part of our Grocery Recovery program, we creates boxes of a variety of groceries that we deliver to high need, low income housing buildings that are part of our For All Vending route, in which we service vending machines that add security and food access to residents. Food is also distributed at a weekly community organized Mobile Free Market. The Free Burrito Project is a program in which we roll and distribute vegan burritos wrapped in compostable paper to individuals throughout our community. The Burrito Rolls are large community events in which participants engage in positive activity that promotes sharing and creative conservation of resources.
