* Energy Efficiency Campus Specialist
 
 
 
The Energy Efficiency (EE) Campus Specialist will help build partnerships between community organizations and their campus to effect behavioral and technical change leading to energy efficiency, particularly for economically disadvantaged Mainers. Through campus/community partnerships focused on reducing energy and light weatherization services, MPES AmeriCorps Members will increase energy efficiency and cost savings for economically disadvantaged populations, community organizations and non-profit higher educational institutions. This particular position, EE Campus Specialist, is focused on developing and maintaining positive relations on campus with students, faculty, staff, student organizations and the facilities department.

Member Duties : Through the MPES initiative 4-5 Minimum-Time AmeriCorps* Members on each campus will join a team of 38 AmeriCorps members to build partnerships with community organizations to effect behavioral and technical change leading to energy efficiency, particularly for economically disadvantaged Mainers. These members will help raise awareness about energy efficiency methods, recruit student participants for Energy Education events, promote MPES and Green Certification Audits on campus and in communities and connect participants with energy conservation resources. Position Responsibilities: -Provide outreach information and resources about increasing energy efficiency on campus and in the community; -Recruit volunteers and participants for MPES events; -Participate in MPES events and provide assistance as needed; -Conduct campus Green Certification Audits; -Help plan and implement campus Energy Education Events; -Participate in general career development.
