Envida - Health Transportation Data Analyst VISTA

The goal of the VISTA project is to eliminate transportation barriers to behavioral health and substance abuse treatment in El Paso, Teller, and Park counties by deploying comprehensive, innovative software that will accommodate both scheduled and unscheduled trips throughout a large, geographically diverse region. In early 2018 Envida embarked on a design-thinking process as one of seven national grants from the National Center for Mobility Management (NCMM) to identify innovative ways to increase healthcare access through transportation for those with behavioral health and substance abuse issues. Subsequently, we began delivering regular bus service to rural El Paso County, and we are now ready to invest staff and resources in implementing a region-wide solution. We seek additional capacity of one FTE for the software rollout of next-generation transportation to support those suffering from behavioral health or substance abuse diagnoses. The transit solution will address emergent mental health problems as well as discharges from mental/behavioral health and substance abuse treatment facilities. Our target area comprises rural areas of El Paso, Teller, and Park counties, and we need someone to perform a needs assessment of this geographic region. Envida’s next-gen software acts similarly to the Uber and Lyft-style of access and is an “on demand” model, no longer requiring advance scheduling. Mental health crises, overdoses of opioids and other drugs, and alcohol-related incidents are not scheduled events. This on-demand software solution supports the person in crisis, healthcare provider requirements to track and deliver service, and best utilization of health facility resources.
