Boys & Girls Club Outreach & Community Engagement VISTA

Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County (BGCWC) has been serving youth ages 6 through 18 since 1964. A charter organization of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, BGCWC’s mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. Year-round at three stand-alone Clubhouses and in five school- and community-based sites, BGCWC members participate in a wide variety of programs in five broad focus areas: Education, Leadership & Service, Health & Wellness, Sports & Recreation, and the Arts. In fiscal year 2018, Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County had over 3,300 registered members and served up to 550 youth per day. In order to fulfill BGCWC’s mission and help underserved and under-represented develop into confident, self-sufficient, and engaged adults, BGCWC continually looks to increase and diversify its funding sources and raise its visibility within the community. To that end, the goal of this project is to build and strengthen BGCWC’s overall capacity, fiscal health, and sustainability. Through both event planning and support, and implementing marketing and development strategies, the VISTA Marketing & Special Events Associate will be a key contributor to achieving BGCWC’s goals.
