Camp Alliance: Arkansas National Guard Child & Youth Program
 
 
 
Camp Alliance is a military recognized State and National award-winning organization. We provide support to our Armed Forces in support of family readiness and resiliency programs. Camp Alliance has developed a program that will make lasting connections, incorporate tons of fun, and allow military youth to increase their resiliency through supportive relationships and caring mentors. Our new "Kids in Drill" program will be hosted at Camp Robinson beginning October 1, 2019. Kids in Drill is seeking 20 AmeriCorps Members to serve and be Leaders for our military youth. Member Duties : AmeriCorps members will deliver targeted resiliency activities and lead workshops to a group of military youths (ages in groups will vary from 5 – 18 year old) during drill weekends (once a month) on Saturday's and Sunday's between the hours of 8 AM to 4 PM. AmeriCorps Members will receive intervention and debriefing training during the week. Additionally, AmeriCorps members will assist the Child and Youth Fierce & Resiliency Director with other outside events such Yellow Ribbon, Family Day, Youth Day, Residential Summer, Resilient & Fierce Day, and Spring Break Camp, that will take place on a monthly basis, typically one event per month. The AmeriCorps service position is an 11 month service opportunity that offers a $4266.50 Segal Education Award and a Living Allowance paid bi-weekly. You will receive leadership training, and an opportunity to work side by side with Arkansas' finest.
